This book is for you if:
- You’ve just been promoted to team lead, supervisor, or manager.
- You don’t know what you’re doing and are willing to admit it.
- You’re willing to put in the hard work to become a better human being, thus a better boss.
- You’ve had a shitty boss and don’t want to become one yourself.
My name is Mack Munro. For the past 25 years, I’ve worked with organizations of all shapes, types, and sizes, helping them build better bosses. I’ve written books, taught workshops, given speeches, and coached individuals. It’s been a wonderful ride.
But as I’m winding it down, there is one more book to write. This one. It gets back to the heart of why it’s so important to do your very best if you have the privilege of supervising. I realized, about halfway through this book, that the lessons I wanted to leave behind were the very breadcrumbs that led me to this career. The whole reason I’m in it in the first place.
So I want you, if you’re the intended target audience, to pay close attention to all the lessons in this book. They inspired a career for me, but it came on the backs of clueless, incompetent supervisors. I know you can do better.
Enjoy the read.
ps. There are lots of bad words in this book. Namely fuck, shit, ass, damn, hell, and piss. Plus derivatives, variations, and combinations of the above. They are for emphasis. Management is a dirty business. Just keep this book away from your kids and grandparents.
